The air bag sits under the receiver tube allowing a short distance of 10-inches between mounting pin and ball center. You will find the advantage of the Air Shocker is your ability to adjust air pressure for best ride and load control. Fits standard 2″ receiver tube, 2 1/2″ and 3″ receivers.
Note: The sway control tab mount is designed to work with the Shocker 17200 Friction Sway control kit or 83660 friction sway control kit, which are not included and is available separately. Suggested to get 1 kit if towing under 10,000 lbs and 2 kits if towing over 10,000 lbs.

I have had over thirty different bumper pull hitches during my career as a general contractor and about 8 years ago, I purchased my first Shocker Hitch. I was impressed right out of the box!! Since then I have towed many different trailers with different weight trucks and I have never been disappointed. Not once!!
It seems like every where I go, people want to know about the giant red hitch on my bumper and I am always glad to stop and talk to some one who wants to know about the hitch and it’s design. Over the years, I must have steered over 100 people to Shocker Hitch.
I currently tow a 30 ft enclosed car hauler with a 2024 Dodge Ram 1500 series Limited pickup and I have recently upgraded my older hitch with new components to match my current towing requirements. I did not need to purchase an entirely new Hitch, just the components to meet my current needs. In doing so, I saved about $500.00. That says a lot about this company!!!

Great hitch, solid construction. Definitely not your ordinary hitch, takes a little more strength to get in installed (heavy). We are using it on a 2020 Chevy Travers to pull a 170SS, can’t even tell its there (other than the rearview mirror). The install was a little tricky because the truck we have has a plastic bumper that hides the hitch, but after some muscling it fit right in there. (no damage to the cosmetic bumper) You can tell the difference while towing right away, no more clanging or push/pulling effect. Definitely recommend to anyone pulling anything, very pleasant ride with this hitch installed. Easy to inflate and deflate the bag as well, I just bring a bicycle tire pump. Takes a second to do, easy peasy.
Summary: Worth it, just buy it and save your rig or trailer.
