Yes some folks will drill holes into the weld on tongue adapter and bolt it to an aluminum a-frame.  We wouldn't recommend drilling holes in your ball coupler only.  You would want a ball coupler or pintle ring that has the channel holes to bolt to this vertical channel.

      A

Unfortunately, we do not offer install services at our shop at this time. However, if you check with one of your local trailer dealers they may be able to help you get that installed. Here is a link to our Dealer locator https://shockerhitch-vip.md-staging.com/dealers/

      A

The vertical mount channel can be mounted upside down in some applications. We also have a tack welded version that can be used to help fit it to your trailer and then be welded.

Q Weight limit or max limits on this item??
A If you are using 2 bolts then 14,000 lbs if using 4 bolts then 20,000 lbs that also assumes this kit is properly weld onto the trailer. You will also want to use a coupler that is rated at that capacity as well.
    18. What is the recommendations for max load capability for this item? I’m ordering the item pre-welded and requires spot welding for connections to trailer frame. Thanks
