      What stops soneone from removing shocker assembly (entire thing, including this item) by removing it and slapping on a factory hitch (whatever typically comes with trailer)...for instance, I recently came into possession of a diamond C gooseneck with this shocker air bag thing. So my 1st question was this one. Should bolts holding shocker assembly to trailer be sacrificially welded, so this very nice security system can't just be unbolted?

      For this reason  we have Shift Lock gooseneck coupler and stem lock kit package. This package allows you to lock the coupler of the gooseneck and also comes with a set bolt locks which is designed specifically to secure your gooseneck inner tube stem & coupler to your gooseneck trailer. The lock kit fits gooseneck trailers with front or side set bolts. The set bolt lock Does Not work with the 9" offset hitch.

      A It would be good to keep the lock lubricated periodically to keep it from rusting.
